Two Top Fives in One Weekend
June 23, 2011
This weekend was definitely the highlight of this season so far.
I did flip my 358 Sprint Car in the heat race on Friday. The driver that was involved apologized. I think that says a lot of positive things about a driver's character.
Randy Davis, a fellow competitor, was kind enough to lend me a wing for the feature. I started in fourteenth and through attrition and some fun passes, I was able finish with a fifth place finish. The JEM Motorsports team left the track in high spirits that night.
I also had a good night in the All American Outlaw Saturday night at Trail Way Speedway. I finished up fourth place after starting the race in eighth. It is always good to see my friends in this class. The traveling All American Outlaws have a very tight knit community atmosphere.
I have also begun my internship at the cable station that hosts my cable TV show Race Night, Community Media. I am really enjoying it! I will be doing a small internship at WTTR in Westminster as well this summer. Be sure to tune in every Thursday to 1470 AM around 5:30 p.m. to hear the race report hosted by Bruce Main.
Race Night will be back on air July 5th at 7 p.m. And I believe we have the perfect person to get the show kicked back off, Craig Wagaman. This late model driver always has some fun things to say and he might be bringing two of his children in, who have been taking up after him on the race track :)
Hope to see you at the races,
