Jan. 26, 2009 Dirt Trackin Show in
York, PA Jan 23-25
The annual Dirt Trackin
Show in York at the Expo Center lets folks get out after a few winter months
away from racing. It’s a fun way for Central PA to cure its Winter Cabin
Fever for the fans, drivers and crew. For Jessie, it was a chance to
show off her new 358 Sprint paint scheme with the prominent
20|20 Power logo
on the top wing and to interact with fans from the track you don’t get to
talk to much during the busy race night. It’s especially fun for the kids
to get a chance to sit in her car.
Seeing
the kids grin when they meet is just priceless. 4-year old Alyssia McClune
was surprised to find the driver on the promotional card she held was
standing right in front of her, as noted by
Joseph Maldonado in the
York Sunday News.
These encounters usually end in a hug or hand shake for those too shy for a
hug as they head on to the next display.
Morrison also spent some
time in the All American Outlaw
display letting kids get a chance to sit in the
General Lee. Daryl and Crystal Winkler
have been gracious in letting her drive their car in
the traveling series featuring full sized fiberglass 33 Ford Coupe replicas
with big V8s.
Saturday morning she was
live on ESPN 1350
radio following Bobby Allen.
Bobby’s been a big part of Sprint racing in Central PA
for years.
By Sunday Jessie was
exhausted and had to leave a little early to move in as a Student at the
University of Maryland.
Thanks Kurt Wise
for making it all possible. We look forward to
seeing you all at the track.
